Error-free quotes in minutes instead of weeks

Capture the product knowledge and pricing rules from engineering and sales. Sales and dealers can then create quotes independently. The price and technical feasibility are checked immediately.

Thirty minutes, on a product that resembles yours. For directors, sales and engineering.
Rule your product
The RulePro configurator with a dormer configuration. Eight steps, a bill of materials preview and a valid configuration with a live price.

Built for manufacturers with variants, options and customer-specific products, including machinery builders, trailer builders, building-component producers and industrial-door manufacturers.

Does this sound familiar?

Quotes often need
extra alignment
Excel can be quick, but exceptions and technical questions often still need checking
10 to 25%
of manual quotes contain an error
discovered in production
1
person who truly knows the product
and they are always busy

In many manufacturing companies every enquiry is just a little different. So it goes to the person who has the overview, and that person is busy. Meanwhile the customer calls around, and a competitor may simply be faster. This is not about the quality of your people. It is about their knowledge living only in their heads.

What RulePro does during every quote

Only buildable choices
what is technically impossible cannot be selected
you see why a choice conflicts and, where possible, how it can be made to fit
The price is right first time
materials, hours and options count along directly
no recalculation by engineering
Quote and production data
from one configuration
the customer receives a quote, production uses the corresponding bill of materials

Sales goes first, engineering follows

The classic approach says you must modularise everything first and only then build a configurator. In practice that route easily takes eighteen to twenty-four months and very often never arrives. We turn it around.

Two routes to configure to order: the textbook route that often never goes live, and the sales route that starts with one product
The textbook route often gets stuck in analysis and elaboration. The sales route goes live and finishes what actually sells.
  1. Pick your starter productNot the whole catalogue at once. Start with your best-selling product, with all its options and sizes. The rest follows later.
  2. Sell only what is buildableThe configurator offers only what you want to sell. No impossible choices, and the price is always right.
  3. Go live with sales and dealersFrom day one, every order arrives valid, priced and buildable.
  4. Standardise what actually sellsEngineering shifts to modules order by order. Bestsellers first.
Build the configurator first, not last. Sales can only sell what is in it, so every order gives engineering a reason to finish the next module.

From a choice to a quote that is right

In RulePro

  • Sales selects the version, options and dimensions
  • Product rules check every choice immediately
  • Price and production data calculate from the same configuration
  • When choices conflict, sales receives an explanation and, where possible, a proposal
  • The product model stays manageable for engineering

For your customer and production

  • A suitable quote without a call back
  • A price that matches the selected version
  • A technically checked configuration
  • A clear bill of materials from the same order
  • More standard quotes, while custom work remains a deliberate choice

What changes for management, sales and engineering?

Management

Grip on margin and lead time. You see what every quote earns, and growth becomes less dependent on extra engineers. Product knowledge lives in a system, not in one head.

Sales

Quoting at the customer's table, with a price that is right. What is technically impossible cannot be selected, and the reason is shown. Fewer call-backs to engineering.

Engineering

Less repeat work per order. You capture the rules, guard them with versions and use the time for product improvement.

Frequently asked questions

What does RulePro do?
RulePro is a product configurator (CPQ) for manufacturers. You capture your product knowledge once as a model. Questions, choices and rules. From then on every sales rep or dealer configures valid products with a live price, and the quote and bill of materials are generated automatically.
Who is RulePro for?
For SME manufacturers with composed or customer-specific products. For example, machinery builders, trailer builders, building-component producers and industrial-door manufacturers. Anywhere each enquiry is slightly different and engineering ends up calculating quotes.
Do I have to modularise my whole catalogue first?
No, that is precisely the trap. You start with your best-selling product, go live within weeks, and then modularise what demonstrably sells. The configurator only offers what is buildable, so new variety stops while engineering standardises what actually sells.
How fast will I see results?
During onboarding, RulePro guides your team through a first product line. You build the model yourselves; we train, review and help with difficult questions. On top of that, public CPQ research (Nucleus Research) measures an average 121% ROI and over six dollars returned per dollar invested across three years. All sources are on the numbers page.
Does RulePro integrate with my ERP?
RulePro has an API for exchanging data with other systems. Everything the screens can do is also available through the REST API, documented with OpenAPI, and webhooks push events such as a new order to your other systems. There are no off-the-shelf ERP connectors yet. In the pilot we set up the connection to your ERP together.
